 Staff Selection Commission is one of the biggest civil recruitment Commission of India which recruits many Group B, Croup C, Group D level employ for various Central Government Departments. Every year a huge no of employee are recruited through various recruitment Examination to fulfil the required vacancies.  Staff Selection Commission Conduct various examinations for fulfil different central govt job vacancies including CGL exam is conducted for recruitment of Group B officers, SSC junior engineer recruitment is for recruiting junior engineers in three core engineering branches including Civil, Electrical and Mechanical. CHSL Exam is conducted for recruiting various non-gazette officers, SSC MTS Exam recruitment is also done to recruit Multitasking staffs in Central government offices. Other Staff Selection examination include like Stenographer Group C & Group D recruitment, SSC Combined Hindi translator recruitment, CISF, Constable GD recruitment etc.


Recruitment Notification Details:


No of Posts: 8300

Name of the Posts and Pay scale: 5200-20200 + GP=1800 (6th CPC) or Pay Matrix level 1 (7th CPC)

Date of Issue of Notification for SSC MTS Exam 2016: 31/12/2016

 According to the Annul Exam Calendar  issued by the SSC for the year 2016 a recruitment notification for SSC Multitasking Staff(Non-Technical) was supposed too be issued in the month of October but due to some Technical Reasons it is issued recently on 31/12/106. Candidate can apply for the posts from the date of Online registration opened till the last date through online registration process. Last date of application may be changed depending on the condition.

Starting Date and Closing date of Online Registration: 30/01/2017

As per the Notification issued by the Staff Selection Commission starting date and closing date of online registration for SSC Multitasking Staff  Exam( SSC MTS Exam) as follows:

Starting Date of  Registration: 31/12/2016
Closing Date of  Registration: 30/01/2017

Who Can Apply?
A citizen of India, A subject of Nepal, A subject of Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee and a person with Indian origin migrated from various countries. A candidate must be graduated/HS or Pass out with required qualification from any central or State recognised University or Institutes.

Required Qualification Details:  
To apply for this post a Candidate must possess the required qualification as per follows:
A candidate must pass the Matriculation from any recognised board.

Age Limit: To apply for this post a candidate may not exceed 18-25 years as on 01/08/2017.
Age limit relaxation will be as per the Gov. norms.
OBC (NCL): 3 years of Age Relaxation (NCL certificate should be issued in prescribed format not older than 3 years from the date of Notification issued)
SC/ST: 5 years of age Relaxation
PH: 10 years
PH+OBC: 13 years
PH+ST/SC: 15 years

Examination Fee Details: All OBC and UR male candidates have to pay a rupees of Rs.100 through Net Banking/Debit card/ SBI chalan for completion of the registration process. A women candidates, ST/SC or PH candidates and ex-servicemen may not need to pay any fee for the registration.

How to Apply:

First candidates have to registrar for 1 time registration in www.ssconline.nic.in  .This registration ID will be valid for whole the year for all the  Staff Selection examinations. 

Registration Process:  For New Users

If you are a New User/Candidate then follow the following process of SSC Online Registration:

Step 1: Click on www.ssconline.nic.in and Click on the Exam link which you want to apply for. Then a new window will be opened.

Click on New Registration (Register), then a Pop Up window will come up.


Step 2: Fill the required fields on the pop up window which includes your name, fathers name, Your HSLC Roll No, your date of Birth and your Gender. Be careful while filling up all the fields since this field will not be editable in future. Then enter verification text and hit Enter.

Step 3: Then another form will appear. You have to fill up all the required fields carefully. Here you have to fill the basic information like your mother name, Caste, religion, Aadhar card details (if any), Identification mark,  Address details, contact details, email details etc. Then you have to enter verification text and HIT SUBMIT. 

Step 4: Then a page will appear showing your Provisional Registration ID Number and Password. Keep these Reg. ID No and Password carefully. Here you can Upload your Scan Passport Size Photograph and Signature and complete the Registration process. Or you can close the window and Log in latter for completing the registration Process from main window on www.ssconline.nic.in 

If you want to complete your Registration through here then do followings.

Step 5: Upload your Scan photographs and Signatures and Click Submit. Then click next

Then one time online registration is Complete. For payments follow the following processes
Prescribed Size for Passport size photo: 4-12 KB (Pixel size: Height-120 Pixel, Width -100 Pixel)
Prescribed Size for Signature: 1-12KB (Pixel Size: Height- 40 Pixel Width -60 Pixel)


If you are already a Registrar Candidate having registration ID and Password 


Apply Process: For Registrar User

Step 1. Click on www.ssconline.nic.in and Click on the Exam link which you want to apply for. Then a new window will be opened.

Step 2. Go to Apply/Print Field and Enter Your Registration ID and Password and Text verification code.

Step 3. Then a apply form will appear you have to fill the required fields and the check on i accept box. Then enter text verification and click Final Submit.

Step 4. Then a pop up window appear asking you your payment process. You can pay through online net banking/Debit/credit card or through offline Challan. Tick on your preference.

Step 5. If you select Offline Process you then a challan will be generated. You have to print is out and pay the fee in nearest SBI

Step 6. If you select Net banking/Debit/Credit card process then you will be redirected to the payment gateway. Then you have to complete your payment process.   

For again downloading the offline challan you have to go to home page and click in download offline challan. And entering your registration id and password you can download challan again

Examination Date:

As per the SSC Annual Calendar for Multitasking Staff recruitment Examination issued by the staff selection commission the exam date for SSC MTS Exam will be conducted in 2  papers .  This exam dates may vary depending on various conditions.  The Exam tentatively will be conducted on following day:
Date of Exam: 16/04/2017, 30/04/2015 and 07/05/2017

Issue of admit card:
Admit cards for SSC MTS Exam will be issued tentatively from Month of April 2017. Candidates may download the Admit card form the online website of the Staff selection commission.

Selection Process:
The Selection process for this post is purely based on written Examination. Candidates will be selected on the merit basis. There will be a written examination of two papers. Paper1 and paper 2. SSC MTS Exam details are as follows
Paper 1: This paper is objective type paper and will contain 150 questions and each question will carry 1 mark and Time allocated for this paper is 2 hour. This paper will contain four section as follows.

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 25 Questions (25 Mark)
  • Numerical Aptitude : 25 Question (25 Marks)
  • General English : 50 Question (50 Marks)
  • General Awareness: 50 Questions (50 Marks)

There will a negative marking for Each wrong answers enter by candidate.

Paper 2: Get Details
 This paper is descriptive type conventional paper of 50 marks. The time allocated for this paper is 30 minute. This paper is only qualifying in nature and thus mark obtained in this paper will not be added in the final merit list preparation. The paper will contain questions from short essay writing or story writing or application writing. Candidate can choose any language out of 22 language of 8th schedule language of India.
