1. SSC CHSL Exam Details

As we have already mentioned CHSL is one of the most popular Higher Secondary Level examination where every 10+2 passed candidate can apply and appear for the examination. The post that are provided in this examination are as follows

2. SSC CHSL Exam Pattern and Syllabus:

Knowing exam syllabus & Pattern is very much important  for any exam preparation. without knowing syllabus&pattern you can take further steps. This year onward  higher secondary level exam will be conducted in three Tier.

Tier 1- A written examination is conducted of 200 mark : Online Exam

Tier 2 - A Descriptive type pen and  paper based exam of 100 mark containing of Essay writing, Letter/report writing

Tier 3- A skill test or computer proficiency test for data entry operator.

CHSL Written examination: This year onward written examination is conducted online for tier 1 and offline for tier 2 exam. The Tier 1 examination paper contains 100 multiple choice question where each question carries 2 mark each for tier 1 online exam. There are four sections in the written examination paper.

a. General Intelligence
b. English Language
c. Quantitative Altitude
d. General Awareness

All the four section contains 25 questions each thus total question are 100. Each questions carries 2 mark totalling 200 marks for tier 1 exam.

The time allowed for complete the exam paper is  75 minute (some extra time will be provided  for differently able Candidate).

There is negative marking for each wrong input of answers against every question. The negative marking is 0.5 mark for one wrong answer. i.e. for every two wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.

5. Time Management Tips for SSC CHSL Exam

 As I have already mentioned that time management is very much important during exam time because the exam paper is not so touch but the thing that we should remember is the limited time that is offered to you. There are 100 questions in the tier 1 exam paper and allocated time is only 75 minute so if we do analysis how much time is allocated to answer a question then we will find that it is very less. Let's do an analysis say you need 10 minute to mark the answer options  the effective time allocated to solve the paper is only 65 minute thus to solve each question you are allocated only 32-35 sec which is very less. In this 35 sec you have to read the question, have to understand the question and have to answer. So if you are not fast in reading as well as understanding then you will never be able to solve all questions.  So  I want to suggest you few tips for Exam time management so that you can. Maximise you answering.

i. Solve GK Section First: Always try to solve GK questions first. If is noticed that GK question do not take much time to be solve since there is no thinking components.

ii. Skip Unknown questions : Do not stick in a single questions more. If you find any questions puzzling you then immediately skip the question. Or you may mark if for final review.

iii. Solve Reasoning and Math section at last: Always try to solve reasoning and quantitative aptitude questions at last exam time. They are more time consuming and easily can be mistaken .

iv. Set Half known question on Review: Since the staff selection commission 10+2 Tier 1 examination is Online computer based examination so if any question that appear partially known or half known then skip it or mart it as review for future revision. Do not waste your valuable time on partially known questions. If you get time at the last of the examination then try to answer review marked questions.

v. Stop Guessing the Answer: Guessing and answering may lead to reduce your obtained marks. If you not 100% sure about the answer then never try to answer it. Always keep in mind that there is negative marking in the examination. And if you really want to guess then only guess when you are sure that there are two questions which are not true.
