Let's have details analysis of SSC CGL Cut offs. Staff selection Commissions CGL exam is generally 4 tier examination where tier 4 is for some specific posts called skill test or computer proficiency test. Previously it was 3 tier only but  from 2016 year onward staff selection commission has added another tier i.e. tier 3 for a descriptive type paper of 100 mark. so the exam becomes 4 tier where Computer proficiency test is the final i.e. tier 4 exam. Again since all the tier exam held one after another and not at a time so cut offs for all the tier exam is different every year.

Every year a huge number of candidates apply for the combined graduate level examinations and thus cut offs for SSC CGL examination changes every year. It is not fix for all time, CGL Cut offs always change is in term of increase value i.e. cut offs for SSC CGL examination increases every year compare to previous year. There are various factors in which the cut offs of SSC CGL examination depends. Following are the few factors in which SSC CGL Cut offs depends.

What are the factors that affect to SSC CGL cut-offs Variations?

1. No of candidates appears for the SSC CGL examinations

No of candidates is one of the very important factor effecting the cut offs for any competitive examination. Because cut of is prepared on maximum score obtained by the candidates and so if the no of candidates are more then probability of getting high scores are more. If a huge number of candidates get more marks in the examination then overall cut off will increase. If more candidates getting lesser mark then overall cut off will decrease.

2. Difficulty level of the examination.

Difficulty level of any competitive examination greatly affects on overall cut of for the examination. If is seen that in some year cut off score low and in some year cut off score is very high. It is only because of difficulty level of the exam paper. If the exam paper is easier then there are much changes to be high cut off scores. On the other hand if the exam paper is difficult them most off the candidate will be scoring less thus overall cut off score will be less.

3. No of vacancies against the posts.

Number of vacancies also effects the cut off score. If in any particular year number of vacancies is more and no of candidates applied for the examination is less  then cut off may decrease. Besides if the no off vacancies is less and applied candidates are more then it is obvious that cut off score will be high.
