What is SSC CHSL Exam?

SSC CHSL EXAM :CHSL refers to combined higher secondary level. Every year Staff selection commission recruits various grade employees for central government departmental services. Combined higher secondary level is one of the most popular examinations conducted by SSC. Through SSC CHSL Exam mainly three types of employees are recruited namely
  • Postal Assistance or Sorting Assistant
  • Data Entry and Operator
  • Lower Divisional Clark

Who can apply for SSC CHSL EXAM?

Any 10+2 candidates or higher secondary level candidates passed from any recognised Board/University can apply for the examination. There is no % limit for applying in the examination. Only passing percentage in 12th standard is enough to apply for CHSL Exam. Again students from any stream in 10+2 i.e. Arts, Science or Commerce is eligible to apply for SSC CHSL exam.

What is the Salary of SSC CHSL EXAM ?

The most commonly asked question by many candidates. That is the Salary of SSC CHSL exam employee? The pay Scale allocated for different Posts are as follows:

Postal Assistance or Sorting Assistant: PB -1(Rs. 5200-20200) Grade Pay 2400

Data Entry Operator: Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 2400 and Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 1900

Lower Divisional Clark: Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 1900

What is the age limit for SSC CHSL Exam?

A candidate of 18-27 years can apply for the posts. Whereas upper age limit relaxation is there for different category candidates as per govt. norms.
