Combined Graduate level (CGL) Examination 2016 Notification:

Dear Job aspirants, Our most awaited examination i.e.Combined graduate level examination, 2016 conducted by Staff Selection Commission has issued its Exam notification On 9th February. As per the annual calendar of SSC  issued in September the CGL examination will be conducted. The most important change in the examination is that the there will be No interview in the examination. 
As we all know Combined graduate examination is one of the most important examination for all central government job Aspirants and Since there was interviews for many Number posts of the examination thus it was bit difficult to crack the examination previously. But this time Commission has notified that there will be No interview for all the Group C and group D posts which may lead a bit more difficulty for the aspirants to qualify the examination still one level of examination will give relaxation to the aspirants.

Date of Notification: 9th February 2016

Last Date Of Online Registration for CGL 2016:
                                  Part 1 Registration Last date: 21 March, 2016
                                  Part 2 Registration Last Date: 30 march, 2016
Who Can Apply:
A Citizen Of India, A Subject of Nepal and a subject of Bhutan a Tibetan refugee and a person with Indian origin migrated from various countries. A candidate must be graduated/HS or Pass out with required qualification from any central or State recognized University or Institutes.  

No Of Vacancies: 
Each year Staff Selection Commission announces many No of Vacancies for Combined graduate level Examinations. This time also the are a huge No of Vacancies for SSC CGL 2016. Post wise No of Vacancies are listed Below:
 

Age Limit: 
  Age limit to apply for Combined graduate Level examination 2016 is varies for Different posts. In general all the posts have lower age limit 18 yrs and upper age limit 27 years. But For Some the posts the upper and lower age limit is also different. Following are the age limits for all the posts:
1. Assistant Section Officer            : 20-30 years
2. Assistant(IB)                              : 21-27 years
3. Assistant Enforcement Officer   : 30 Years
4. Sub Inspector (CBI)                  : 20-30 years
5. Statistical Investigator  Gr-II   : 32 Years
6. Sub Inspector (INA)                 : 30 years
7. Assistant Audit officer              : 30 Years
8. Sub Inspector Narcotics           : 18-25 years
For all other posts the upper age limit is 27 years  and lower as Limit is 27 years.

  
Examination Fee:
All OBC and UR male candidates have to pay a rupees of Rs.100  through Net Banking/Debit card/ SBI chalan for completion of the registration process. A women candidates, ST/SC or PH candidates and ex-servicemen may not need to pay any fee for the registration 

How to Apply:

Candidates may apply for the posts mentioned above through Online Process. There are two level registrations for on line Application. Part I registration and Part II registration. Part I registration simply for giving basic details about yourself and part II registration is for Uploading your Photograph, Signature and Fee payment details. After the successful completion of Part I registration candidate will be given a registration ID and a chalan for fee payment (optional if you want you can pay through debit/credit/net banking). With this registration ID and Password (many times is may be your date of Birth) candidate may enter for part II registration. Before proceeding for Part II registration keep ready your soft copy of scanned Passport size photograph and Signature as per required Size and JPG format.

Prescribed Size for Passport size photo: 4-12 KB (Pixel size: Height-120 Pixel, Width -100 Pixel)
Prescribed Size for Signature: 1-12 KB (Pixel Size: Height- 60 Pixel Width -140 Pixel)

Examination Dates:


As per the SSC Annual Calendar for recruitment Examination issued by the staff selection commission the exam date for SSC CGL 2016 Examination will be conducted in Three levels, Tier 1, Tier 2 and Skill test. This exam dates may vary depending on various conditions.  The Exam tentatively will be conducted on following day:


SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Date:  Postponed to August. Tentative Date of Examination will Be Notified Leter
 SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Date: Not Notified yet



Issue of admit card:

Admit cards for SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination will be issued tentatively Before August. Since Exam has been responded to August so Exact Date of Admit Card download is not given. Candidates may download the E-Admit card form the online website of the Staff selection commission after the Admit card Issue.

Selection Process:

The Selection process for this post is purely based on written Examination. Written examination will be in two level, SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination and SSC CGL Tier 2 Examination. The Candidates selected on the merit in Tier 1 will be allowed to sit in the Tier 2 Examination. If Candidates are selected in Tier 2 then they are subjected to give skilled tests or Computer Proficiency Test according to their preferences. The Exam Details Of SSC CGL Tier 1 and Tier 2 is given Below.
 

Tier 1 Exam Details: SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination is objective type single paper written examination of 200 marks. The examination paper contains 200 multiple choice questions from Reasoning, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude and English 50 questions in each section. There will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. The exam duration is of two hour


Tier 2 Exam Details: SSC CGL Tier 2 Examination is consist of two paper and it is also objective type written examination of 200 marks in each paper. The each examination paper contains 100 multiple choice questions. Two papers are of 1.Quantitative Aptitude and 2.English language and Comprehension. Each question will carry 2 marks for both the papers. There will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. The time duration for each paper is 2 hour.

Tier 3:  Tier 3 examination is Skill test or Computer proficiency test. This test is for some particular posts only.

Latest Changes in SSC CGL Examination 2016: 
1.Written Examinations may be computer Based or Offline paper based 
2.Tier 1 examination may treated as only Qualifying examination 
3.This time interview components has been dispensed with. There will not be any interview.


Syllabus For SSC CGL Tier 1, Tier 2 Examination:


SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Syllabus:

SSC CGL 2016 Tier 1 examination is single paper written examination consisting 200 questions of multiple choice type in four sections namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, English Comprehension  and Quantitative Aptitude. Each Section carries 50 questions and 50 marks. i.e. 200 questions and 200 marks for tier 1 paper.

SSC CGL Tier2 Exam Syllabus:

SSC CGL 2016 Tier 2 exam consist of two papers namely Quantitative Aptitude  and General English & ComprehensionEach Paper Consist of 100 Questions and each question carries 2 marks. So Full mark for each paper is 200. total 400 marks. Each exam  is of 2 hour duration.
